USTA tennis teams are now forming for this spring season. Reach out to your captain for team numbers. If you are looking for a team and need assistance please contact Jag or Stacey.
The Gate City tennis league is a daytime ladies league that celebrates the social side of tennis as well as the competitive side. Teams play matches with area Greensboro/Asheboro teams and then enjoy food and social time after each match. Practices begin in February and March and matches are played in April and May. Coach Ricky and Coach Jag would love to see more players added to the teams! Please see Jag or Ricky for more information or contact the office.
The OFRC Gate City Kickoff Brunch will be held Saturday, March 4th 11-1pm. We can’t wait to see everyone!

This time of year, the outdoor hard tennis courts and the pickleball courts are available to play on daily, as long as they are dry. Clay courts are more tricky as the surface changes throughout the day based on the temperature and water consumption. Please check with the pro shop prior to taking the outdoor clay courts to ensure your safety and that there is no damage to the courts.
Please ensure that you reserve the courts prior to play – include all players names’ and record any guest(s) – by using Court Reserve, calling ahead, or coming into the office.
The indoor clay tennis courts are open for play 7 days a week. The cost to play indoors is $10
for members and $15 for non-members for a 2-hour time period.

Important Dates: January 11, 2023: Team registration begins January 18, 2023: Individual player registration begins on March 6, 2023: Team registration deadline at midnight (must have a minimum 6, or maximum of 12 players by this date) March 19, 2023: Weekly matches begin June 3rd: Championship matchday | A 50+ player must turn 50 by 12/31 of the playing year and can play down in the 18+ division. They are allowed to play in both age brackets but must be on the same level. If we are a host facility, half of our games are played at HOME and half AWAY (Greensboro, High Point, ACC). Our HOME games are played on our 2 dedicated courts and Hard Court 3# is converted to a temporary court by taped lines placed by the OFRC staff. There is a $25 registration fee. Players are self ranked: Novice (2.5- 3.0), Intermediate (3.1- 3.75), Advanced (3.75+) |
